What is the difference between a BB Cream and a CC Cream?

BB cream stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm. Similar to a tinted moisturiser, it acts as a primer, moisturiser and foundation, but with the added benefits of skincare.

CC Cream stands for Colour Correcting. As well as performing that task, it will also cover redness, hide and treat acne, conceal dark spots and add radiance to sallow, dark skin.

A CC cream tends to provide a lighter coverage than a BB cream, so is best used when your skin is playing up. Due to the colour-corrective nature of the product, CC creams tend to be more tinted and therefore great to use in summer when our skins are naturally more tanned and less in need of a faux glow.
