The Peel Treatment
Your peel treatment commences with a double thorough clinical cleanse of the face before the Aspect Professional Power Peel Steps 1 is applied. The peel remains on for up to 5 minutes (our Skin Specialist will decide the amount of time by observing your skin reaction) to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. The peel is then gently removed and Step 2 of the Power Peel is gently massaged into your skin for approximately 60 seconds before being allowed to absorb. The skin is checked and if necessary Step 2 may be reapplied in any significant problem areas.
The application of Steps 1 and 2 takes approximately 40 minutes. The peel solution from Step 2 is not removed but must be left on for a minimum of 6 hours post-treatment.
Water or Aspect Gentle Clean can be used by the client after 6 hours to remove any peel residue.
Cosmeceutical serums including Aspect RedLess, Hyaluronic Acid, Super PD Complex, or Aspect Dr Optiboost Complex can be applied after 6 hours and each day after for the next 4 days.
DO NOT APPLY Vitamin A, B, or C for 4 days after Peel Treatment.
Downtime: Skin will feel sensitive for 2-3 days. Moderate to deep peeling for 2-4 days may occur. Moderate flaking to be expected for up to 7 more days. You should avoid strenuous exercise and/or swimming for 24 hours immediately after the peel.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.
